The short answer

You can do the Ozil Goal AI trend for free by filming it with a few friends, or by pasting our free prompt into an AI video tool that gives you some free tries. Getting the whole stadium version from one photo costs credits, here and on similar sites.

The trend remakes the chip-and-wait goal Mesut Özil scored for Arsenal: you chip the keeper, take the bounce, then wait while two defenders slide past before you roll it into an empty net. The calm is the joke. The Ozil Goal page shows the full 15-second clip.

Some sites call their Ozil Goal tool free and then ask for a plan before the download. That’s how video costs work, but check the price before you upload a photo. The two free routes below really are free; they cost time instead.

Route 1: film it with friends

This is the trend in its purest form, and it’s more fun than it looks. You need a keeper, two friends happy to slide on wet grass, and someone to film.

On a floodlit five-a-side pitch, a woman stands on a bench to film as a man in a grey hoodie runs at a diving keeper, two friends ready to slide
Film from the side and up high, like a TV camera. A bench or a wall does the job.
  1. Stand your camera friend at the side of the pitch, as high as you can safely get: a bench, a low wall, a stand. Film vertically and follow the play, like a TV camera.
  2. Run at the keeper. As they dive or rush out, chip the ball over them. If the chip won’t come, roll it past; nobody will mind.
  3. Take the bounce with one touch as the first defender slides in and misses.
  4. Now wait. Stop the ball, drag it back, and let the second defender slide past. Don’t rush: the waiting is the joke.
  5. Side-foot it into the empty net, gently.
  6. For the last shot, film one more take from behind the post as the ball rolls in, and cut to it at the end.
  7. Add a crowd sound or the trend’s sound when you post.

Sliding on artificial turf burns skin. On a plastic pitch, defenders should wear long sleeves and trousers, or dive and miss instead of sliding. Shin pads help everyone.

Route 2: our free prompt in an AI video tool

No friends free on a Tuesday night? Our Ozil Goal AI prompt writes out the whole goal, timed, for tools with an image-to-video or reference-image mode, such as Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or CapCut’s AI video.

  1. Open the tool’s image-to-video or reference-image mode.
  2. Upload one clear photo of yourself, face toward the camera.
  3. Paste the prompt and set vertical 9:16.
  4. Generate. If the tool makes clips shorter than 15 seconds, use the two-clip version in the prompt guide.
  5. Join the clips in an editor and add your sound when you post.

The catch: free tiers usually allow a few short tries, and this trend is long and busy. A ball that jumps, a defender who never slides, or a striker who just shoots straight away are all common. The prompt guide has a fix for each.

Route 3: one photo here

On the Ozil Goal page you upload one photo and get the whole goal back: the run, the chip, both slides and the calm finish, filmed like TV under floodlights, with the crowd, the studs, the ball and the net on the soundtrack. It’s a vertical MP4 with no watermark, and it takes a few minutes. We email you when it’s ready, and it stays in My videos.

One Standard video uses 65 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $12.90 for 90 credits (1 video), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.

There are no free credits on NowStarring, so this route is never free. You choose Standard 480p or HD 720p, and HD uses more credits. Your photo is deleted automatically 7 days after upload. Packs and plans are on the pricing page.
