What is the Knight Cat trend?

What happens in the video

The Knight Cat trend is a short pet video played completely straight: a cat or dog in battle-scuffed silver armor and a crimson cape stands on a foggy moor in the rain, heaves a sword taller than itself out of the mud, raises it toward the storm and stares into the camera as lightning cracks behind it.

Where it comes from

It began as an art series of a tiny kitten in armor with a sword far too big for it. Then people made the same scene with their own cats and dogs, and the version with a giant human knight kneeling beside the tiny one took off too.

Why people post it

Everything in the frame is epic except the size of the knight. Put one line on top, like Monday, exams or rent day, and it becomes a reaction to whatever you’re facing. Without a caption, it’s a tribute to a pet who deserves one.

How much the Knight Cat AI video costs

Every Knight Cat video is paid with credits: get them every month with a plan, or pay once with a pack that never expires. Adding yourself costs the same.

Knight Cat AI video FAQ

Straight answers on making, paying for and sharing your Knight Cat video.

  1. Does the Knight Cat video work with dogs?

Yes. Cats started the Knight Cat trend, but any dog works too, from chihuahuas to Great Danes. Your pet gets the same armor, cape and sword, sized to fit, and keeps its own face, coat and markings.

  2. Can I be in the Knight Cat video with my pet?

Yes. Add a photo of yourself after your pet’s, and you become the full-size knight kneeling beside it, one hand on its back. It costs the same as a video of your pet alone.

  3. Do I need a photo of myself?

No. Your photo is optional. With one photo of your pet, it’s a solo knight alone on the moor; add yours only if you want to be in it.

  4. What photo works best for the Knight Cat AI video?

A sharp daylight photo of one cat or dog with its face toward the camera, whole body if you have it. Keep other pets and people out of the frame, and skip the flash and heavy filters. For your own photo, one clear face looking at the camera is enough.

  5. Why does the knight look different from my pet?

Usually it’s the photo: a blurry, dark or side-on shot, or a second animal in the frame, leaves too much to guess. Try again with a sharp daylight photo where your pet faces the camera and nothing else is in it.

  6. Does the Knight Cat AI video have sound?

Yes. Wind, rain, thunder and the scrape of the sword are already in your Knight Cat video, so it works as it is in a story or a group chat. On TikTok you can also add a trending sound on top.

  7. How do I make a Knight Cat meme for Mondays or exams?

Make the video of your pet, then add one line of text on top when you post, like “me walking into Monday” or “me vs. finals week”. The storm and the sword do the rest.

  8. Can I put two pets in one Knight Cat video?

Not in one video. Each Knight Cat video has one pet as the knight, plus you if you like. For two pets, make a video for each and post them back to back.

  9. How long does the Knight Cat AI video take?

Usually a few minutes. You can close the page: your Knight Cat video waits in My videos, and we email you when it’s ready.

  10. How much does a Knight Cat AI video cost?

One Knight Cat video uses 45 credits, with or without you in it. Pay once with a credit pack whose credits never expire, or pay less per video with a monthly plan. A video that fails costs nothing.

  11. What happens to my photos after the video is made?

They’re used only to make your Knight Cat video and stay private to your account. Delete them any time from My videos.

  12. Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only with their permission, and never of anyone under 18, a celebrity or a public figure. Upload only photos you have the right to use.

  13. Is this the official Knight Cat app?

No. NowStarring is an independent fan tool for the Knight Cat trend, not linked to the artist behind the original knight cat series. None of their artwork appears in your video: every one is made fresh from your own photos.

  14. How do I make the Knight Cat AI video?

Add your photo at the top of this page, or two for a trend with two people, and press Make my video. Your Knight Cat video is ready in a few minutes. No app, no filming and no editing needed.

  15. Can I post my Knight Cat video on TikTok or Instagram Reels?

Yes. Download the MP4 with no watermark and post it on TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, or send it in a group chat.

  16. Can I make the Knight Cat AI video for free?

No. Every video here is paid for, so there’s no free trial and no watermark on what you download.

  17. Is there a CapCut template for the Knight Cat trend?

You don’t need one. A CapCut template drops your clip into someone else’s edit. Here the whole Knight Cat video is made from your photo, so whoever is in it is in every shot.

  18. What if my Knight Cat video doesn’t come out right?

You don’t pay for a video that fails: what it used goes back to your balance automatically, and you can try again with another photo.
