The short version
- For your pet: one cat or dog, face toward the camera, whole body in view, in daylight. No other pets or people in the frame.
- For you, if you want to be in it: one face looking at the camera, in soft light. A selfie works.
A photo of you

The clearer the photo, the more the video looks like you. Crop a group shot down to one person before you upload it, and keep sunglasses, hands and hair off your eyes.
A photo of your pet

Get down to your pet’s eye level, fit its head, paws and tail in the frame, and wait for a still moment in good light. Sitting or standing both work.
What happens to your photo
Your photo is used only to make your video and stays private to your account. Photos are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, and you can delete them sooner from My videos. Only use photos you have the right to use: no celebrities and nobody under 18.

Questions
Do I need a photo of myself?
No. One photo of your pet makes the solo knight. Add yours only if you want to kneel beside it.
Do I need a video of myself?
No. Still photos are enough. The moves, the timing and the camera come from the trend.
What if the video fails?
You don’t pay for it: what it used goes back to your balance automatically, and you can try again with another photo.
