What the winner filter is

Every autumn football crowns its best player at a gala in Paris, and every autumn the internet crowns itself instead. The AI version took off as a CapCut template and spread to TikTok and Reels in the week of the 2026 ceremony: a ten-second clip filmed like the TV broadcast, with you in the seat when the envelope opens.

Nobody believes it for long, and that’s the point. The favourite use is a message to the family group chat that just says “I won”, sent to a parent who will ring within a minute. The second is crowning the friend who scored once all season.

The video, shot by shot

A man in his fifties in a midnight-blue velvet tuxedo sits in a red theatre seat under a spotlight, looking stunned
The name is called
The woman in the next seat, in a deep red gown, throws her arms around him
The hug
On the lit stage a grey-haired host in a tuxedo hands him a golden ball trophy, both seen from the side
The handover
He lifts the golden ball high above his head with both arms as gold confetti falls
Overhead
A chest-up shot of him kissing the golden ball, eyes closed
The kiss
  1. Seconds 0 to 1: the hall goes dark, a spotlight finds you in the audience and you gasp, hand on your chest.
  2. Seconds 1 to 2.5: the guest in the next seat, in a red gown, throws her arms around you.
  3. Seconds 2.5 to 6: one tracking shot as you walk down the aisle and up the steps; the host hands over the golden ball.
  4. Seconds 6 to 8: you lift it high above your head while gold confetti comes down.
  5. Seconds 8 to 10: the camera pushes in as you bring it to your chest, kiss it and look straight into the lens.

Under all of it: the host’s line, a hall that never stops clapping, and an orchestra that swells at the lift. Watch with the sound on; half of the effect is the roar.

Having the host call your name

The moment that sells the prank is hearing your own name. On our page there is a box for it: a first name, a nickname, up to three words and 24 letters. The host says it in the language of the page you order from, so a Spanish visitor hears “Y el premio de este año es para…” and a Korean visitor hears it in Korean. Twelve languages are covered.

  • The name is spoken only. Nothing is written on screen, so there’s no misspelled caption to give it away.
  • Famous players’ names are refused: the video is about you, not a real winner.
  • Leave the box empty and the host stops at “goes to…” and the roar does the rest.

Make it from one photo

  1. Pick a photo of just you, face toward the camera, in good light.
  2. Add it on the Ballon d’Or page, type the name the host should call, and press Make my video.
  3. Wait a few minutes. The video lands in My videos and we email you.
  4. Download it: vertical, ten seconds, with the sound and no watermark.

Sending it and posting it

  • For the family prank, send the file on its own with one line: “I won.” Don’t add an emoji; let them press play.
  • For a friend, make it with their photo and their name, then post it in the team chat after a match.
  • On TikTok or Reels it already has the host and the applause. To show up on the trend’s sound page too, add a Ballon d’Or sound in the app and turn the original down.

One Standard video uses 45 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $9.90 for 90 credits (2 videos), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.

Questions

What is the Ballon d’Or AI filter?

A short vertical video in which you win football’s best-known individual award: your name is called at the gala, the guest beside you hugs you, you walk up in black tie, take the golden ball, lift it overhead and kiss it.

Can the host say my name?

Yes, on our page. Type a first name or nickname and the host says it out loud after “And this year’s award goes to…”. It is spoken, never written on screen, and famous players’ names are refused.

Do I need a photo in a suit?

No. A plain selfie is enough; the velvet tuxedo or the gown comes from the video, only your face comes from the photo.

Can I make one for my dog or cat?

Not on our page: the winner is always a person. The walk, the handover and the kiss are written for human hands.
