Beat by beat
The reveal fits in 10 seconds. These are the beats to hit:
- 0:00, boots only: the camera stays at your feet as you strut toward it.
- 0:06, the whip-up: on the whisper, the camera flies up from the boots to your face.
- 0:07, the reveal: a sly smile at the lens and a little shimmy.
- 0:08, picture frame: both hands frame your face, like you’re taking the picture.
- 0:09, laugh and wave: turn your head, laugh, wave and put a hand on your hip.
Film it yourself
- Get a friend to hold the phone a few inches off the ground, pointing up at your legs.
- Wear something with a hem that moves, like a cloak, a long skirt or a cape, and good boots.
- Walk toward the phone one step per beat, and keep your face out of frame.
- Have your friend tilt up fast on the whisper, then hit your poses one after another.
Post it with the Ramalama sound, so it shows up with the rest of the trend. Not sure what it is? The explainer has the whole story.
Or make it from one photo
- Open the Ramalama page.
- Add one photo: face and shoulders, straight on, in good light. The photo guide shows what works.
- Press Make my video and sign in when you’re asked. It’s ready in a few minutes. You can close the page: the video waits in My videos and we email you when it’s ready.
- Download the MP4, with the song and no watermark, and post it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
Each video uses credits from a pack or a monthly plan. See pricing.
Questions
Do I need someone to film me?
Not for the AI version. You only add a photo; the low camera, the whip-up and the poses come from the trend.
Does the AI video come with the song?
Yes. The song is already in your video. If a platform mutes it, pick the Ramalama (Bang Bang) sound from its library when you post.
What if the video fails?
You don’t pay for it: what it used goes back to your balance automatically, and you can try again with another photo.
