The Cheba Man prompts

Here’s a free Cheba Man AI prompt for a person and one for a pet, written in our own words to paste into any image-to-video app. Each one sets up the red stage and the crowd, then walks the app through the deadpan arm routine second by second.

Person

Vertical 9:16, 15 seconds, photoreal, one continuous handheld phone shot from inside a crowd, no cuts. Use the person in my reference photo: keep their face, hair, body and clothes exactly. Setting: an outdoor courtyard party at night. They stand alone on a raised wooden stage lit deep red from the front, with a dark wooden fence, a pale two-storey house, a navy sky and strings of bulbs behind. The backs of heads and raised phones fill the bottom of the frame. They run a sharp arm routine to a fast dance beat, feet planted, hands empty, face completely blank the whole time. 0–2 s: arms out wide, hands snapping to the head, both arms up in a V, one arm pointing at the sky. 2–5 s: forearms crossing and re-crossing in front of the chest on every beat, a small bounce in the knees. 5–6.5 s: fists at the chest, then both arms flung out like wings and held. 6.5–8.5 s: one arm over the head with a quarter turn, then sharp sideways arm sweeps. 8.5–12.5 s: arms wide with flicking wrists, fists up beside the head, hands wrapped round the head. 12.5–14 s: a low lean toward the crowd, one arm swept out. 14–15 s: one hand on top of the head, slightly side-on, frozen on the last beat. Sound: an upbeat electronic dance track, crowd noise underneath. Avoid: smiling, sunglasses, props in the hands, walking, extra dancers on stage, cuts.

Cat or dog

Vertical 9:16, 15 seconds, photoreal, one continuous handheld phone shot from inside a crowd, no cuts. Use the animal in my reference photo: keep its breed, fur, markings and size exactly. Setting: an outdoor courtyard party at night, a raised wooden stage lit deep red, a wooden fence and strings of bulbs behind. The backs of heads and raised phones fill the bottom of the frame. The pet stands alone on its hind legs and runs a sharp arm routine with its front legs, completely unbothered. Every move is made with real furry paws, never hands or fingers. 0–2 s: front legs out wide, paws to its head, both front legs up in a V. 2–5 s: front legs crossing in front of its chest on every beat, bouncing a little. 5–6.5 s: both front legs flung out like wings and held. 6.5–12.5 s: a paw over its head with a small turn, sideways sweeps, front legs wide again, paws wrapped round its head. 12.5–14 s: a low lean toward the crowd. 14–15 s: one paw on top of its head, frozen on the last beat. Sound: an upbeat electronic dance track, crowd noise underneath. Avoid: human hands, fingers, extra animals, walking off, cuts.

A prompt gives the app a plan, not a promise. Two or three runs is normal, especially for the fast arm section.

How to use the prompt

  1. Open an AI video app with image-to-video or a reference-image mode, such as Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or CapCut’s AI video.
  2. Upload your photo: you head to feet, or your pet’s whole body.
  3. Paste the matching prompt and set the shape to 9:16.
  4. If the app’s clips are shorter, keep the wings, the straight face and the freeze, and cut the sweeps.
  5. Generate, compare it with the stills below, and add the Cheba Man sound when you post (how).

The shots, one by one

Check your result against these beats. A missing one tells you which line to make stronger.

A man in a dark polo and light trousers on a red-lit wooden stage flings both arms out like wings
0–1 s: arms out wide, like wings
The same man with both arms thrown straight up over his head
1–2 s: both arms straight up
The man holding both arms out wide, completely still
5–6.5 s: hold it wide
The man with arms wide and a dead straight face as the crowd films him
8.5–12 s: dead straight face
The man with one hand on top of his head, frozen
14–15 s: hand on the head, freeze

The red light and the crowd matter as much as the moves. Without the phones at the bottom of the frame it looks like a dance class, not a party clip.

Variants

  • Your own backyard: describe your deck or patio, keep the red light and the friends filming from below.
  • DJ set: add “a pair of DJ decks in front of them, untouched” for the white-tee look below.
  • Top hat: if your photo has a hat and suit, say so in the person line and keep everything else.
  • Cat: add “ears flat, eyes half closed, utterly bored” to the action line.
  • Dad version: a parent’s photo, with “the crowd cheering” added to the sound line.

Photo tips

  • You: head to feet, facing the camera, in soft light, arms down and hands empty.
  • Pet: the whole body, at its eye level. Sitting or standing both work.
  • No sunglasses: covered eyes don’t match from frame to frame.
  • Only yourself, your own pet or an adult who has said yes. Never a celebrity or a child.

What the prompt can’t do

  • It can’t add the song; you add it when you post.
  • It can’t land the freeze on the last beat by itself, because the app never hears the song.
  • It can’t give the same routine twice.
  • It can’t always keep a pet’s paws from turning into hands, so retries are part of it.

The no-prompt route

Rather skip the retries? The Cheba Man page takes one photo of you or your pet and gives the routine back on the red stage, on the beat, with the song in the file. One Standard video uses 65 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $12.90 for 90 credits (1 video), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.

Questions

What is the Cheba Man AI prompt?

A timed description of the red-stage arm routine that you paste into an image-to-video app with your photo. Person and pet versions are above.

Does the Cheba Man prompt work with my cat?

Yes. Use the pet version with a full-body photo. It asks for real paws and a deadpan face.

Which app should I use for the Cheba Man AI dance?

Any app with image-to-video and a vertical shape, such as Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or CapCut’s AI video. Results vary run to run.

Why does my Cheba Man AI video smile?

Apps tend to add a happy face to dancing. Say “face completely blank, no smile” and put smiling first in the Avoid line.

Why is there no song in my clip?

AI apps don’t add it. Pick the Cheba Man sound when you post; the [sound guide](/guides/add-the-cheba-man-sound-on-tiktok-and-reels) shows how.

Is the Cheba Man prompt free?

Yes. The app you run it in may charge for its own credits.
