It started as an AI-made meme video with a chanted voice-over repeating its name, and in a few months it was everywhere kids were online: stickers, toys, games, school chants, endless remixes.
What the name means
In Indonesia, during Ramadan, people eat sahur before dawn so they can fast through the day. In many neighbourhoods, groups walk the streets in the small hours beating a kentongan, a hollow wooden or bamboo drum, and calling out “sahur!” to wake everyone up. “Tung tung tung” is the sound of that drum.
