Before you start

  • Clear a strip of floor about two metres wide. You’ll jump and sway, and your feet have to stay in the frame.
  • Prop the phone at chest height, upright, two to three metres away, so you’re in frame from head to toe.
  • Put the clip or the sound on another screen or a speaker so you can hear the beat while you film.
  • Wear something that shows the moves: jeans and sneakers read well, a long coat hides your knees.

The moves, in order

The wooden log with a carved grin holds its toy bat up on the left; a red-haired woman in a mustard sweater and light jeans dances on the right, in a bright living room
0:01: side by side, bat up
The woman and the log bounce with bent knees and fists up, the bat down at the log’s side
0:03: the bounce
The log swings its toy bat low and out to its own side while the woman sways beside it
0:04: the bat swing
Both groove on the same beat, the woman’s arms out, the log’s stick knees bent
0:07: the groove
The woman springs onto her toes with her arms flung out while the log holds its bat
0:08: the jump

1. The bounce (0:00 to 0:02)

Start already moving. Bend your knees and drop a little on every beat, fists loosely up by your chest, shoulders rocking side to side. The log does the same with its bat held up. Grin at the camera: the face sells it.

2. The jumps (0:02 to 0:04)

Jump straight up on the beat, both feet off the floor. At the top, cross your forearms over your chest; as you land, fling your arms open wide and land soft with bent knees. Four jumps in a row. If space or knees are tight, a bounce onto your toes reads almost as well.

3. The sway (0:04 to 0:06)

Knees bent, swing your hips side to side in big, slow arcs, arms swinging low. This is the bat beat: the log tilts its whole body like a metronome and swings its bat out to its own side. Don’t lean into its half of the frame here.

4. Hands up (0:06 to 0:08)

Spring onto your toes and throw both hands high, then pump them twice on the beat. The log holds its bat straight up. Groove your hips and shoulders between the pumps so you never stand still.

5. The finish (0:08 to 0:10)

One last hop with your arms flung out, a quick look at the log, then a big cheeky grin into the lens. Hold it for half a second so the clip loops cleanly.

What makes it look off

ProblemFix
You’re half a beat behind the logLearn the clip first with the sound on, then film. Count the jumps out loud on the first takes.
Your feet are cut offMove the phone back or lower it to hip height. The trend is always head to toe.
You look small next to the logStep closer to the camera until your eyes are about level with the top of the log.
It looks stiffBend your knees more than feels natural. The log is all bounce, and you should be too.

The sound

Every green-screen clip of the log carries its own short, upbeat sound, so the trend doesn’t have a single song the way most dance trends do. Use the sound that came with the clip you danced to: open a Tung Tung Tung Sahur dance post you like on TikTok, tap the spinning record and choose Use this sound. That puts your video on the same sound page, next to everyone else’s.

Don’t want to film at all? The Tung Tung Tung Sahur page makes the whole duet from one selfie, already on the beat, with a trend sound laid over it.

Sorular

Is the Tung Tung Tung Sahur dance hard?

No. It’s bounces, jumps and sways, all on the beat, with no footwork to learn. What makes it land is matching the log’s timing, not technique.

What song is the Tung Tung Tung Sahur dance?

There isn’t one song. Each green-screen clip comes with its own upbeat sound, and posts use whichever clip they danced to. On TikTok, tap the sound under a video you like and use the same one.

How do I dance with Tung Tung on TikTok?

Download a green-screen clip of the log dancing, put it beside you in CapCut or TikTok’s green screen effect, and film yourself doing the moves in time. The green-screen guide covers each step.

Which side should I stand on?

Whichever side the clip leaves empty. Most clips put the log on one side and leave the other half free; stand in the middle of that half and keep about an arm’s length of gap.

Can I do it without dancing at all?

Yes. On the Tung Tung Tung Sahur page one selfie is enough: the moves come with the trend and you appear doing them next to the log.
