The cat take on the meme

Soon after the car alarm dog spread, cat owners wanted in. The cat version is the same twelve seconds by the same red car on the same night street, with a cat standing on its hind legs instead: leaning on the bumper, waving one paw, hopping from foot to foot, then dancing back to the wheel. It lands differently: a dog dancing looks eager, a cat doing it looks like it’s doing you a favour.

What a cat photo needs

Cats are smaller than the dog the dance was made for, so the video frames them closer and lower. That makes their face and markings take up more of the picture, and a soft or dark photo shows. Three things help most:

  • Get down to its eye level. A photo taken from above shrinks the body and the video has to guess its legs.
  • Show the tail. Cats swing it all through the dance; if it’s cut off, the video makes one up.
  • Wait for a still moment. A cat mid-pounce comes out blurred, and blurred stripes turn into blotches.

Make it with your cat

  1. Add the photo on the Car Alarm Dance page; the page works out it’s a pet.
  2. Press Make my video and wait a few minutes. We email you when it’s in My videos.
  3. Download it, vertical and twelve seconds long, with the alarm beat and no watermark.

Got a dog and a cat? Make one each and post them side by side. For the dog version step by step, see the car alarm dog dance.

One Standard video uses 45 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $9.90 for 90 credits (2 videos), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.

Sorular

Can cats do the car alarm dance?

In an AI video, yes. Your cat stands up on its hind legs by the red car and does the same lean, wave, hops and finish as the dog, on the alarm’s beat.

Will my cat look like a dog?

No. Its face, ears, coat, markings and tail all come from your photo, and so does its size: a cat stays cat-sized next to the car.
