- One person per photo, looking roughly at the camera.
- Daylight from a window beats a flash, and both beat a dark bar.
- Nothing on the head: caps, hats, beanies and hoods all fight the headphones.
- Sunglasses off. The lead’s eyes close in the laugh, and the video needs to know what they look like open.
What each seat needs most
| Seat | Shown as | Pick a photo with |
|---|---|---|
| Lead | A full-frame close-up, in profile and face on | The sharpest face you have; this is the one people will judge |
| Sax | A close shot, eyes closed, playing | A clear face; clothes you like, since they show |
| Keys | Seated at the front in both band shots | Head and shoulders; the top they wear is seen a lot |
| Left and right mic | Smaller faces behind the desk | Any clear, front-on photo |
Big hair, headphones of their own, a hat brim: anything that changes the shape of the head tends to carry into the video, because the band’s headphones go on top of it. A plain photo gives the cleanest result.

Sorular
Can I use a photo with a cap or a hat?
Better not. Everyone in the band wears studio headphones, and a cap either leaks into the video or pushes the headphones into odd places. Pick a photo with the head uncovered.
Can I use a group photo?
Crop it to one person first, or use a photo of each friend on its own. With several faces in one photo, the wrong person can end up in the seat.
Do clothes matter?
Yes: each person plays in the clothes from their own photo. If the photo shows only the face, they get a plain sweater.
Does the lead need a laughing photo?
No. A friendly, relaxed face works best; the laugh is made for them. A photo that is already mid-laugh can make the face harder to recognise.
