For the Gangnam Style trend, CapCut is great if you’re happy to film yourself doing the horse dance; an AI video generator with a good prompt can put you on a sunset rooftop for little or no money but takes retries and adds no song; a one-photo site like ours gives you the finished clip with the song in, for a price. CapCut is the best place to edit, whichever way you make the clip.
Short version: you’ll dance on camera, film it and use CapCut. You like tinkering, use a generator. You want it done from a selfie, use one photo on the Gangnam Style page.
Side by side

| CapCut (film it) | AI generator + prompt | One photo here | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your face | Real, from your footage | From your photo; can drift as you bounce | From your photo |
| The moves | However well you dance | From the prompt; can add a rope or a horse | Built in: the trot and the lasso, on the beat |
| The place | Only where you filmed | Yes, from the prompt | Built in: a sunset rooftop or an elevator |
| Song | Template’s sound, or add your own | Usually silent | Over the whole video |
| Effort | Tripod, dancing, then editing | Prompting and retries | Add one photo |
| Cost | Free to start | Free tiers, then paid | Paid, from the price below |
When CapCut wins
You know the horse dance, you don’t mind doing it on camera, and you have a good spot: a balcony at sunset, a roof terrace, or just a clear living room. You film one take on a tripod, drop it into CapCut, line the trot up with the beat and you’re done, free. It’s also the only route where you really danced it.

- Film one continuous take, head to toe, with the phone still. The trot needs your feet in frame.
- Play the song while you film so the bounce lands on the beat.
- Move any template text away from your face and feet.
- Put the moment the beat kicks in right where your trot starts.
What CapCut can’t do is invent what you didn’t film. No rooftop means no sunset skyline, and only your own footage belongs in it.
When an AI video generator wins
You want to change things: a different city, a dance studio, a party, a shorter clip. With the Gangnam Style AI prompt in Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or CapCut’s AI video tools, you control the scene, and free tiers let you try first.
The trade-offs: a real rope in the lasso hand, a camera that moves in close, a body that comes out slimmer or heavier than yours, hands with extra fingers. Some tools also make their own music, which doesn’t follow the song, so you add the song yourself.
Tools differ in how well they keep a face and a build through ten seconds of bouncing, and they change often. Try the same prompt in two and keep the one that looks most like you.
When one photo wins

You won’t do the horse dance on camera, you don’t have a rooftop, or you want the elevator. On the Gangnam Style page you add one photo, pick the place and get 10 vertical seconds: you trot on the reins, then swing the lasso with one empty hand to the end, head to toe in the clothes from your photo, with the song and no watermark.

One Standard video uses 45 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $9.90 for 90 credits (2 videos), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.
The limits, honestly: one person per video, no pet version for now, the two places are the trend’s, and there’s no free video.
Mixing routes works too
You don’t have to pick just one. Common combinations:
- Make the clip from one photo, then add a caption in CapCut about the last time you danced to this song.
- Make the rooftop and the elevator from the same photo and post them back to back.
- Make one of a parent or a friend and post it for their birthday (with their yes first).
- Film your real horse dance and post it next to the AI rooftop version of you.
Whatever you do, keep the final edit vertical and short. The trend lives in about ten seconds, and the dance loses its punch in a longer cut.
Step by step: the CapCut route
- Film your take with the shot plan in the free guide, or make one with CapCut’s AI video tool and the prompt.
- In CapCut, start a new project with your clip, or tap Templates, search “gangnam style” and use one with your footage.
- Trim the start so your wrists are on the reins from the first frame.
- Line the song up so the beat kicks in as your trot starts; that’s the moment people watch for.
- Export vertical 9:16. Post to TikTok or Reels and pick the Gangnam Style sound in the app, so the post joins the sound’s page.
The sound guide shows how to add the song and set the volumes.

Perguntas
Is there a CapCut template for the Gangnam Style trend?
Creators post templates for most trends, so search “gangnam style” in CapCut’s Templates tab. A template edits clips or photos you already have; it won’t make you do the horse dance on the beat if you didn’t film it.
Can AI make the Gangnam Style video from one photo?
Yes. AI video tools can animate your photo from a prompt, and one-photo sites like ours make the whole clip, the horse dance, the place and the song included.
Which option includes the song?
Ours has the song over the whole video, with the trot on the beat. Templates may carry their own sound; AI generators usually don’t include the song, and some make their own music that doesn’t follow it.
Do I have to dance on camera?
For the CapCut route, yes: you film yourself doing the horse dance. The AI routes start from a still photo of you.
Can I edit the NowStarring video in CapCut?
Yes. It’s a normal MP4 with no watermark, so you can trim it or add text before you post.
What’s the easiest way to do the Gangnam Style trend?
One photo on a trend site: no dancing on camera, no rooftop, no prompt, and the song is already in. It costs money; the other routes cost time.
