Beat by beat

The whole routine fits in 15 seconds. These are the beats:

  1. 0:00, the scream: the first pet right up against the lens, paws on its head, mouth wide open.
  2. 0:04, paws on the lens: it reaches out and pats the camera while the other one dances behind.
  3. 0:06, the swap: hard cut, and now the second pet is up front, screaming.
  4. 0:10, side by side: the two of them sway together by the fence, paws up.
  5. 0:13, the rush: both pets rush the lens together, paws first, to the last frame.

Film it yourself

  • You can’t make a pet scream on cue, so film what it already does: a big yawn close to the lens looks like the scream.
  • Get low, at your pet’s eye level, with the phone vertical and a plain wall or fence behind it.
  • Film each pet on its own up close, then both together, a little further back.
  • Cut them in CapCut: the first pet, the swap at about 6 seconds, then both, and add the Smalltown Boy sound.

Post it with the Smalltown Boy sound, so it shows up with the rest of the trend. Not sure what it is? The explainer has the whole story.

Or make it from a photo of each pet

  1. Open the Smalltown Boy page.
  2. Add a photo of each pet: one pet in each photo, its face toward the camera, its whole body in view, in good light. The photo guide shows what works.
  3. Press Make my video and sign in when you’re asked. It’s ready in a few minutes. You can close the page: the video waits in My videos and we email you when it’s ready.
  4. Download the MP4, with the song and no watermark, and post it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

Each video uses credits from a pack or a monthly plan. See pricing.

Pertanyaan

Which pet screams first?

The pet in the first photo screams first; the one in the second photo takes over after the swap. At the end they dance side by side.

Can I use a cat and a dog?

Yes: two cats, two dogs, or one of each. Each pet keeps its own face, coat and markings. Cats work best so far; dogs with long, floppy ears can come out a little different.

Does the AI video come with the song?

Yes. The song is already in your video. If a platform mutes it, pick the Smalltown Boy sound from its library when you post.

What if the video fails?

You don’t pay for it: what it used goes back to your balance automatically, and you can try again with another photo.
