Hotel Lobby CapCut template vs an AI video generator vs two photos

A Hotel Lobby CapCut template, an AI video generator or a photo site for the orange wall rap meme? A fair comparison on likeness, the wall, the song and cost.

The honest verdict

For the Hotel Lobby trend, a CapCut template is great if you and a friend already filmed yourselves at an orange wall; an AI video generator with a good prompt can put you both there for little or no money but takes retries and adds no song; a photo site like ours gives you the finished clip with the song in, for a price. CapCut is the best place to edit, whichever way you make the clip.

Short version: you have the footage, use a template. You like tinkering or want the cat version, use a generator. You want it done from two photos, use the Hotel Lobby page.

When a CapCut template wins

You and a friend filmed yourselves at an orange wall, mic hanging between you, and nailed the hush. A template adds text, zooms or effects on the beat, and you’re done in minutes, free. It’s also the only route where you really performed it.

  • The take is one shot, so pick a template made for a single clip rather than many quick cuts.
  • Keep the whole hush in; it’s the part people replay.
  • Move any template text away from your faces; you’re both in frame the whole time.

What a template can’t do is invent the parts you didn’t film. No orange behind you means no orange wall, and only your own footage belongs in it.

When an AI video generator wins

You want to change things: two cats, a different colour wall, a shorter cut. With the Hotel Lobby AI prompt in Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo or CapCut’s AI video tools, you control the scene, and free tiers let you try first.

The trade-offs: faces that swap during the spin, a mic that ends up in a hand, hands with extra fingers. Not every tool takes two reference images, and you add the song yourself.

When two photos win

Two photos in, the whole take out.

You don’t have an orange wall, you don’t want to film, or you just want the trend as it looks on TikTok. On the Hotel Lobby page you add a photo of you and one of a friend and get 15 widescreen seconds: you both rap at the hanging mic, your friend spreads the palms and spins, you hush each other and it ends on the hand over the eyes, each in the clothes from your own photo, with the HOTEL LOBBY song and no watermark.

One Standard video uses 65 credits. The smallest pack that makes one is $9.90 for 90 credits (1 video), a one-time buy whose credits never expire, and plans start at $19.90 a month for 270 credits. If a video fails, its credits come back.

The limits, honestly: two people per video, no pet version for now, the orange wall is the trend’s, and there’s no free video.

Mixing routes works too

  • Make the clip from two photos, then add a caption in CapCut tagging your friend.
  • Make one with your sibling, your partner or your grandad, and post them back to back.
  • Post your real take next to an AI version of you both at the orange wall.
  • Make the cats’ version with a prompt and yours on NowStarring, and post them as a pair.

Step by step: the CapCut route

  1. Film your take with the setup in the free guide, or make one with CapCut’s AI video tool and the prompt.
  2. In CapCut, start a new project with your clip, or tap Templates, search “hotel lobby” and use one with your footage.
  3. Trim the start so the first beat lands right away.
  4. Export in 16:9, or the template’s format. Post to TikTok or Reels and pick the HOTEL LOBBY sound in the app, so the post joins the sound’s page.

The song guide shows how to add the song and set the volumes.

Questions

Is there a Hotel Lobby CapCut template?

Creators post templates for most trends, so search “hotel lobby” in CapCut’s Templates tab. A template edits clips you already have; it won’t put you two at the orange wall.

What’s the best app for the Hotel Lobby AI video?

It depends on what you have. Your own footage: CapCut. Time to tinker: an AI video generator with a prompt. Just two photos: a trend site that makes the whole clip with the song, like ours.

Which option includes the song?

Ours has HOTEL LOBBY over the whole video. Templates may carry their own sound; AI generators usually don’t include the song.

Can I use the original clip in CapCut?

Use your own footage. Make your own take, by filming it with a friend or from your photos, rather than editing someone else’s video.

Is face swap the same as the AI version?

No. A face swap pastes your face onto someone else’s body in an existing clip. The AI version makes a new video of the two of you, in your own clothes, so nobody else’s performance is reused.

Can I edit the NowStarring video in CapCut?

Yes. It’s a normal widescreen MP4 with no watermark, so you can trim it or add text before you post.
