Two pets stand up on their back legs by a dark-red fence. The first one is right up against a wide phone lens, paws on its head, screaming, then it pats the lens while the other dances behind. Hard cut: they have swapped, and now the second one screams. Then the two of them sway side by side, and in the last seconds they rush the camera together, paws first.
Where it comes from
It started on TikTok with an AI video of two cats screaming and dancing by a red fence to Smalltown Boy, the 1984 synth-pop song by Bronski Beat. Pet owners started making it with their own cats and dogs, by the fence or in the living room.
Why people post it
It’s the dramatic scream your pet would do if it could. If you have two pets, it’s the one trend made for both of them, and the swap makes it a little show about who’s the bigger drama queen.
What the AI version looks like
The AI version keeps the red fence, the scream, the swap and the song, and puts your own two pets in it from a photo of each, each with its own face, coat and markings. The pet in the first photo screams first. Cats work best so far; dogs with long, floppy ears can come out a little different. The video is 15 seconds and vertical for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, with no watermark.
