A friend holds the phone near the ground and films only your legs as you strut toward it in costume. For six seconds it’s boots, a swishing hem and the pavement. Then the song drops to a whisper, the camera whips up to your face, and you pose, frame your face with your hands, laugh and wave.
Where it started
It started as a Halloween clip of someone walking toward a low camera in costume, with the reveal timed to the whisper in Róisín Murphy’s Ramalama (Bang Bang). Soon everyone was copying it in their own costumes, and AI versions followed for people who didn’t have the outfit, the street or a friend willing to lie on the pavement.
Why people post it
The wait is the joke: six seconds of boots and a swishing hem, then the whip-up and a face nobody expected. The whole thing lives or dies on landing the reveal right on the whisper.
