How to do the Hotel Lobby trend, beat by beat

The take is 15 seconds in one shot. These are the beats to hit:

1. 0:00, the mic: both rap up at the hanging mic, the left one with hands clasped at the chest, the right one reaching for it and tapping a wrist.
2. 0:04, open palms: the right one spreads both hands wide, then clasps them; the left one nods to the beat.
3. 0:08, the spin: the right one throws an arm up and turns all the way round, back to the camera and front again.
4. 0:12, the hush: you turn to each other, a finger to your lips.
5. 0:14, the lookout: the right one holds a flat hand over the eyes, looking into the distance.

Film it yourself

• Find a plain orange wall, or hang an orange sheet or paper roll behind you; any flat bright colour works.
• Hang something from above between you, a real mic, a hairbrush on a string or a ladle, at mouth height.
• Prop the phone sideways at chest height a few steps back, so you’re both in frame from the waist up.
• Film it in one take, the two of you rapping along, then add the HOTEL LOBBY sound when you post.
